PCI Express NVME Card M-Key NGFF to Dual SFF-8087 SATA 3.0 Adapter PCI-E 2280 to Slimline to 8-Ports SATA 6Gbps Extension Hard Drive Converter with Heatsink This 2280-size M.2 card adds dual SFF-8087 connectors through an M.2 NVMe M-key slot, providing up to 8 SATA 3.0 channels when used with SFF-8087-to-SATA breakout cables. It is intended for systems that have an available M.2 NVMe slot but limited SATA ports, and can be used to connect multiple SATA SSDs or 3.5-inch hard drives in storage builds. The adapter works with SATA drives only and does not support SAS drives. 8087-to-SATA breakout cables are not included and must be purchased separately. Hot-plug support may vary depending on the operating system and drive configuration. The card uses a high-speed controller chip with an onboard heatsink to help keep operating temperatures lower. It supports error reporting, recovery, and correction, as well as partial and sleep power management states. Gen1, Gen2, and Gen3 link rates are supported, along with NCQ to help maintain drive performance and stability under load. No additional driver installation or software setup is required.
